If USCIS cannot recapture lost visas from 1992 to 2008 then can it forward capture the visas from next 30 years and clear the backlog?
This way the US can have a stated policy of not accepting any EB immigrant from India/China for next 30 years.
It will also avoid the issue of people retiring doing the same or similar job for 20+ years and without a green card.
It will prevent one generation from India/China from being fooled into American Dream.

Since these cases are seeing daylight, I have question about FP. Anyone who has got FP (only for cases if RN received after 9th oct )?

Folks have you noticed the options on dice when you have to fill up your profile. makes you choose if you are EAD or GC or Citizen or h1b or any other. Now, does it not create a situation where employers can filter you?
In all other websites like Monster, hotjobs etc... the choices are
(1) Authorized to work for any employer
(2) Authorized to work for currrent employer
.....
.....
which makes more sense.

Get on with sweet talks with him, do whatever he tells u to do (like sign a contract, pay ur GC cost etc). After filing u have an option to change the employer after 6 months and then no employment bond works. He will just ask for money when ur leaving him and if he doesnt give ur salary, talk to him polietly and mention the words 'Dept of Labor' in your conversation.
BTW, I got my wife salary from her employer and one of my friend was also 'bonded' ..got rid of his employer too ...using those words.
My employer is desi consultant too and is very good in such matters, quite helpful. I would recommend him to anyone. Most desi consultants are blood suckers but not all.

Is this rally still on? On 14th? Then please update the first post on this thread which still says July 7th - it is confusing.
Also, considering that there are only 4 more days to the rally if it is on 14th, we need considerably more publicity in the media and on blogs on this.
This rally will be a watershed event because as far as I know, this would be the first of its kind by skilled, legal immigrants and it should get the media attention that it deserves.
I second this. It took me full 15 minutes to figure out that the rally was on 14th not 7th.

I had taken an infopass appointment after filing an SR. All the IO said was I should call NSC. I don't think the IO's at the local USCIS office can issue FP notices.
Shall try again sometime this week or next and update the same here. I am a NSC->CSC->NSC transferee.

Did you get your EAD/AP approval yet? I filed in 1st week of May, but nothing yet?
I applied for my EAD and AP renewal on the second week of May 2008. Again, I am not sure if EAD or AP renewal triggered the FP notice. Good luck to you.

If there is a revised bulletin which shows that your Priority Date is retrogressed then your's will be thrown off ....

to file - i know its not your fault , just stating the Fact.
Yeah, I know my life sucks. I have a priority date of Jan 2003. Got filed under EB3 even though did MS here... I begged and pleaded that they atleast send it on Jan 28th. For god's sake, I was qualified all the way since June 1st. I gave all the documents necessary by June 6th itself. Well, but they had to file on 29th.

I mailed you the Pranayama instructor's email as a private message.
I would strongly recommend that. I was in India few months back and the person suffering from lung cancer had got cured by practicing Pranayama day in and day out for nearly 1 month. He was given 45 days time by the doctor, as the tumor had burst in one of the lungs.
But he had faith and got over the problem in a month's time. Doctors were surprised as well!
I would suggest you do that as well. At least discuss the options with him.

If we see the history H1B and GC numbers were never increased except 2004 20k inpast 15 years In 2000 it was increasd temporarlily for 4 years.Also EB numbers were never increased except temporary reliefs.If it is increased by Skill bill in current form that is really an acheivement. If there is a possiblity they may increase H1B because that is temorary visa(But in reallity not) and GC numbers may remain same. But if increased to 115k then also cap will be reached in another 1 month because there are more number of Desi companies than number of H1Bs. Thats why they are asking exemptions for MS people and 20% adjustment for every year. We have to wait and see whether congress fall on this trap to do this without analysing the impact.
